Unlike single-topic rounds, a GK quiz rewards breadth. If you read widely — or simply pay attention — you will do well here even without specialist knowledge in any one field.

The ten questions rotate through difficulty levels deliberately: openers you should get, a middle that makes you think, and one or two closers designed to be missed by most players.
